AN OUNCE OF PREVENTION...
Each of us constantly hears news of a potentially devastating or threatening incident and has felt at a total loss as to what to do about it. Whether the threat comes in the form of a tornado, tsunami, pandemic, earthquake, terrorist attack, hurricane, or a snow storm, how many people simply dont know what to prepare or how to get started?
It wouldn't even have to be a tragic or devastating event. What if the power was out for a few days or even more than a week? What if you had to evacuate your home for twenty-four to seventy-two hours because of a gas leak? What if you had to move to higher ground due to heavy rains? What would you do? What would you take?
Like many citizens, you can approach preparedness from a common sense standpoint than the usual survivalist point of view.
My goal is to show you that preparing for the unknown brings about a peace of mind and personal security that is priceless. It is not something that must all be done today – few of us could afford that – but rather something that can be accomplished over time, a little at a time.
